  1. I suppose their mothers mind doesn’t count??? 😝☺️ my daughters have lost countless unlabelled items, as a result I am now the label queen and label EVERYTHING! In the past we have lost shoes, knickers, stationary, hats (lots and lots of hats!!) and even lunch boxes!

  2. Not fair, my son who just started school this term, hasn’t lost anything. Everything is labeled but he is too careful. Can I still enter?

  3. My son has just started childcare and last week came home with a blue hoodie. I washed it and returned it with a note saying it wasnt his. Two days later the jumper returned dirty. Again I washed it and returned it. Hes only one so I knkw its not him putting it in there. I think some clever mum is getting me to wash banana stains out her son’s clothes!

  5. Okay, so I went out and bought some Sinchies and sent one off filled with yoghurt to school with Miss 5 for the first time. She comes home without it in her lunchbox. If I had labelled it she would not have thought it was disposable and thrown it in the bin!!

  6. Drink bottles are an item that are frequently lost by Mr 7! I think its hard to keep drink bottles labeled because they are always getting wet & wash off or fall off!

  7. My daughter lost one of her favourite toys at daycare. It was gone for days…which felt like millenia! They eventually found it in the toy washing machine…and then she promptly left it at a supermarket the very next day…even though I’d reminded her not to take it in with us…and that if she lost it again it would be gone for good.
(I secretly looked for it, and even left my phone number but i was gone for good! I wish I’d labeled that thing to within an inch of its life. Am thankful it wasn’t the Bestest Buddy though!).

    1. I realised that could be read two different ways, it was a washing machine made of wood for the children to play with, not the machine they washed the toys/blankets etc in. lol

  10. My daughter’s shoes. Term 4 last year, within three weeks – we lost a pair of $70 shoes she had worn all year, and two pairs of $20 shoes to replace the $70 shoes. She went to Kindy with them.. never came out with them on her feet.

Funny lost and found story my sister came back from camp with hardly any socks and couldnt figure what happened to all of them. 13. With four kids in daycare something is lost most days. My third child insisted on wearing his “unlabelable” brand new havaianas, a birthday present from the previous day, and they were missing that afternoon! They stayed missing for a couple of weeks until an honest parent returned them πŸ™‚ Thank goodness. They have not been worn to kindy since :/
